Gabsluk is a jewellery studio in London.
Pieces are built around natural stone and freshwater pearl, strung by hand on waxed cord. Stones are sorted by hand for colour, weight and match before anything is strung. That sorting is most of the work, and the reason no two pieces come out the same.
Gabsluk is organised into chapters rather than seasons. Each one starts with a material or an idea: a single stone, a palette, a place. A chapter closes when it's finished, not when the season ends.
Materials
Natural stone, freshwater pearl, waxed cord and brass. Stones vary in colour, shape and weight. That variation is the point rather than a defect.
Studio
Designed in London, where the beaded pieces are strung by hand. Everything else is made by a specialist workshop we work with.
Repairs
We restring or repair any Gabsluk piece for the cost of postage. Strung jewellery is meant to be worn, and worn things need looking after. Write to hello@gabsluk.com.
